Call quality

Improve your sales call conversion rate

Your sales call conversion rate depends mostly on what the rep knows before dialing. Prosperian puts the signal, the reason to call now, the suggested angle and what is better left unsaid in front of them, so every call starts from a concrete fact.

What SDRs using it say

  • “I was pleasantly surprised by Prosperian. Cold calls, which used to be a chore, have become much smoother and more enjoyable. Between the power dialer, which lets me qualify and move from one call to the next at breakneck speed, and manual lead enrichment, it's the complete platform I needed to save time and focus on my sales.”

Christian Foham, CEO's Right Hand | Growth & Outbound Prospecting

  • “As an SDR, Prosperian is a real advantage in time saved and convenience. My calls follow one another with no time wasted, and the tool is very easy to use.”

Othmane Bayahya, Business Developer @ Bee Nice

  • “Prosperian made me more productive, with clear traceability on my day-to-day tasks as an SDR. I recommend it!”

Louis Vimart-Camier, SDR @ Scal IA

A call converts poorly when it gives no reason to listen

On the phone, the other person decides very quickly whether to stay on the line. Three causes come up when they hang up.

  • The opener is generic"We help companies like yours": the line applies to everyone, so it lands with no one. The prospect hears nothing about themselves.
  • The timing is wrongThe prospect has no project underway on your topic. The call does not fail for lack of skill; it simply arrives too early.
  • The rep says too muchMentioning an email open or a website visit creates instant discomfort. The prospect feels watched and shuts down.

What a better sales call conversion rate changes in the conversation

Differences you can hear in the conversation itself.

  • The opener quotes a verifiable fact: a hiring push, a funding round, a job change, an accepted invitation.
  • The prospect understands in one sentence why you are calling today and not last month.
  • The rep knows what not to say: the call card spells it out for every prospect.
  • Objections are about substance (budget, timing, priority) rather than about the call itself.
  • A manager can review a lost call and see whether the problem was the angle, the timing or how the conversation was run.

How Prosperian prepares a call that has a chance to land

Timing and angle are chosen from different signals. That is what makes the call feel natural.

  1. Step 01Pick the momentTracking signals (open, click, visit to your website, engagement with a competitor) raise the heat score. They tell you when to call, nothing more.
  2. Step 02Pick the angleThe call angle only uses signals you can mention: job change, hiring, funding round, accepted invitation, post reaction.
  3. Step 03Warm up before dialingA first message goes out by email or LinkedIn. Once the prospect has accepted the invitation or replied, your call is no longer a surprise.
  4. Step 04Read the card, then callIn the power dialer, the card shows the signal, why now, the angle, prep notes and the activation history. The rep skims it before dialing.

Self-diagnosis grid: why this call did not convert

Fill it in after every call that went nowhere, for one week. The "no" answers show where to act first.

ChecklistCall self-diagnosis grid
  1. Timing: did the prospect have a recent signal, a few weeks old at most, when you called?
  2. Context: had a first message reached them before the call?
  3. Opener: did your first sentence quote a fact {first_name} would recognize (role, hiring, funding, invitation, post)?
  4. Discretion: did you avoid mentioning an email open, a click or a website visit?
  5. Relevance: does the problem you raised really belong to {first_name}'s role at {company}?
  6. Listening: did you ask an open question before presenting anything?
  7. Next step: did the call end on a dated next step, however small?
  8. Reading: if three or more answers are "no", revisit the target or the signal before reworking the pitch.

Frequently asked questions

How do you measure a call's conversion rate?

First decide what "convert" means for you: a meeting booked, a dated next step, a referral to the right person. Then compare calls that started from a signal with calls made from a cold list. Call outcomes flow into HubSpot or Pipedrive through two-way sync.

Why not tell the prospect they opened our email?

Because it makes them uncomfortable and gives them no reason to talk. Prosperian uses those signals to pick the moment, and only suggests angles based on public or shared facts, such as an accepted invitation. The card also tells the rep what not to say.

Does Prosperian write the script for the rep?

It suggests an angle and prepares the context. The conversation, discovery, objections and closing stay with the rep.

Which signals make the best openers?

The ones the prospect recognizes: a job change, active hiring, a funding round, a reaction to a post. More than thirty signals are tracked, but not all of them can be mentioned.

Should we call more or call better?

The two go together, but one without the other disappoints. If pace is what holds you back, start with call volume. If prospects pick up but nothing comes of it, start with the grid above.
